HISTORY

As part of what is now Buckhead, the land occupied by Peachtree Hills was part of the rolling hills of the countryside peppered with a combination of farmland and the summer homes of Atlanta’s wealthiest families. As Atlanta continued its expansion, the subdivision of Peachtree Hills was set aside for development in 1910 as a cottage community by the American Securities Company of Georgia. Today, the neighborhood retains much of its historic charm with many of the original cottages still standing today, making it a quiet enclave of cozy homes amid the sprawling estates and commercial centers of the Buckhead area.

Peachtree Hills lies within the Atlanta Public School system, with students attending E. Rivers Elementary, Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School. Several reputable private schools are also available nearby, including Christ the King School and Atlanta International School.
