HISTORY
As part of what is now Buckhead, the land occupied by Peachtree Hills was part of the rolling hills of the countryside peppered with a combination of farmland and the summer homes of Atlanta’s wealthiest families. As Atlanta continued its expansion, the subdivision of Peachtree Hills was set aside for development in 1910 as a cottage community by the American Securities Company of Georgia. Today, the neighborhood retains much of its historic charm with many of the original cottages still standing today, making it a quiet enclave of cozy homes amid the sprawling estates and commercial centers of the Buckhead area.
